Galapagos tortoises are a protected species and can only be sold in Florida to confirmed Florida residents. It is illegal to purchase a Galapagos tortoise from this farm and then transfer it to someone who does not live in Florida. Any Galapagos tortoise that is found to have been illegally transferred out of Florida will be confiscated and may be euthanized.

If you are interested in purchasing a Galapagos tortoise, please be prepared to provide proof of Florida residency. This may include a driver's license, state ID card, or utility bill with your current address.

We understand that some people may try to get around the law by having a relative who lives in Florida purchase the tortoise for them. However, this is still illegal and the tortoise will be confiscated if it is found to have been transferred out of state.
