Lewisi Iguanas — An Established Line, Over 40 Years in the Making

For over 40 years, I’ve raised and selectively bred Lewisi iguanas on my South Florida farm, developing a well-documented, sought-after line. My selection goes beyond blue coloration: I look for the distinctive wedge-shaped, angular head, strong body proportions, blue coloring—especially around the head—and lighter body striping that give these animals their recognizable Lewisi appearance.

Those traits matter when choosing an animal. Iguanas offered under the Lewisi name can vary considerably in appearance, and my breeding program emphasizes animals that clearly express the characteristics I value in this line.

Our iguanas are raised here on the farm, outdoors in South Florida’s climate. Many grow up in group settings, giving them experience living among other iguanas. These are healthy, robust, farm-raised animals backed by decades of breeding experience and firsthand knowledge of their development.

Each available iguana is presented individually, with photographs, videos, and a description of its color and characteristics. Whether described as Exceptional, High Blue, or Blue, you can see the actual animal offered and choose the one that appeals to you.
