Our Redfoot tortoise collection includes several distinctive bloodlines and color forms. Depending on current availability, we may offer Andrews Redfoots, Bolivian Redfoots, Suriname Redfoots and occasionally hypomelanistic Redfoot tortoises.

The Andrews Redfoot Story

One of our most popular lines is the Andrews Redfoot—a remarkable giant form descended from tortoises raised by Wendell in Homestead, Florida. These animals survived Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and were bred together for many years, eventually producing a distinctive, unusually large Redfoot line associated with Bolivian-type ancestry.

The Andrews Redfoot is a locally developed morph and bloodline, not a scientifically recognized geographic locality. Its exceptional history, large adult size and distinctive appearance have made it especially popular with serious Redfoot keepers.

Redfoots of Different Ages and Sizes

Our available Redfoot tortoises may include:

Age estimates vary according to growth, diet and individual development, but our 4-to-8-inch animals are commonly approximately one to four years old.
